Root Canal Therapy

Root Canal treatment relieves pain, infection and helps save your tooth when the pulp gets inflamed or infected. The most common cause of pulp infection is a crack or a deep cavity or filling.  The tooth's nerve or pulp is removed from the chamber and root canal (which is the space inside the root). The space is cleaned and filled with a rubber-like material to seal the canals. Root Canal treatment is an alternative to extracting the tooth when it is infected. The most common cause of pulp infection is a crack or a deep cavity or filling. Many times, a post and a crown will be recommended after the completion of Root Canal Therapy.
